I shall first post the Songs that i wish to use:
The first is "Rock you like a Hurricane" By the Scorpions.
It's early morning
The sun comes out
Last night was shaking
And pretty loud
My cat is purring
And scratches my skin
So what is wrong
With another sin
The bitch is hungry
She needs to tell
So give her inches
And feed her well
More days to come
New places to go
I've got to leave
It's time for a show
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
My body is burning
It starts to shout
Desire is coming
It breaks out loud
Lust is in cages
Till storm breaks loose
Just have to make it
With someone I choose
The night is calling
I have to go
The wolf is hungry
He runs to show
He's licking his lips
He's ready to win
On the hunt tonight
For love at first sting
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Comments: Typical 70"s rock. totally awesome and.....well.....it doesn't really connect to me anyhow.
And the second song is:
"Battery" By Metallica. Mrs. Sueoka might know this.
Lashing out the action, returning the reaction
Weak are ripped and torn away
Hypnotizing power, crushing all that cower
Battery is here to stay
Smashing through the boundaries
Lunacy has found me
Cannot stop the battery
Pounding out aggression
Turns into obsession
Cannot kill the battery
Cannot kill the family
Battery is found in me
Battery, battery
Crushing all deceivers, mashing non-believers
Never ending potency
Hungry violence seeker, feeding off the weaker
Breeding on insanity
Smashing through the boundaries
Lunacy has found me
Cannot stop the battery
Pounding out aggression
Turns into obsession
Cannot kill the battery
Cannot kill the family
Battery is found in me
Battery, battery
Circle of destruction, hammer comes crushing
Powerhouse of energy
Whipping up a fury, dominating flurry
We create the battery
Smashing through the boundaries
Lunacy has found me
Cannot stop the battery
Pounding out aggression
Turns into obsession
Cannot kill the battery
Cannot kill the family
Battery is found in me
Battery, battery
Battery, battery
COmments: I'm supposed to like the song, not connect to the lyrics. I'm a happy person... who listens to darkish music.
And the other Poems are:
full of flowers that bloom
at first
and then carried away with my greenthumb
i planted everything
trees and more trees and shrubs and bamboos
and vines and hanging plants
almost everything
and so the blooming flowers died
and the grasses diminishing like some
hair of this baldness
but nothing is lost in this garden of poems
the birds came and built their nests
some are still coming
every morning
and then the chirping begins
Very cutesy poem but incorrectly placed after a song that sounds like cats choking and gibberish about a battery. so wrong.
Poem #2:
Woke early one morning,
the earth lay cool and still,
when suddenly a tiny bird,
perched on my window sill,
it sang a song so lovely,
so carefree and so gay,
that slowly all my troubles,
began to slip away,
it sang of far off places,
of laughter and of fun,
it seemed his very song,
brought out the morning sun,
I pulled back the covers,
and crept slowly out of bed,
and gently shut the window,
and crushed his freaking head,
I'm not a morning person
It's pretty funny. My friend and i was looking up random poems for fun and we came across this one and it was so different from the others about dirtier stuff and we couldn't stop laughing
I'd also like to make a webpage about previous classic poems such as "Humpty Dumpty" or "Little Miss muffet" (Which by the way, has updated.) Here's the updated version
Little Mrs Muffet (Unrated)
Little Miss Muffet
Sat on her tuffet
Eating some Creme Brulee
Along came a spider
who sat down beside her
and chased Little miss muffet away
Muffet went back
And checked her gun rack
Grabbing her .357
Went back to the spider
and sat down beside her
And blew that poor sucker to heaven.
Hi Joseph,
ReplyDeleteNo, I can't say that I've heard the Metallica song...I tend to like their more ballady stuff...
I can see your personality in the poems that you've picked...kinda offbeat and sometimes humorous. Be sure to pick poems, however, that you can say something about. That last one, for example...it made me laugh...but there's nothing except that surprise at the end to talk about...don't need a 5 step process to analyze that sucker, so to speak...
Let me know if you have questions.
